Donald G. Ezzell and Stephanie G. Ezzell bought a three-bedroom, five-bath home at 74160 Quail Lakes Dr. in Indian Wells from Michael R. Berk for $3,476,500 on May 26.

Berk bought the home for $4,392,000 in Nov. 2004. The 6,362-square-foot house was built in 1997.

Mr. Ezzell is the executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary of Heckmann Corp. As executive vice president, he is responsible in developing the company's overall strategy and corporate development and leading the merger, acquisition and growth process.

He was the president of Owl Creek Energy and was the founder and director of The General Counsel Group, P.C. He was also the founder and director of The General Counsel Group, P.C., a business law firm with offices in Los Angeles and Houston and CEO and general counsel to Geoworks Corp., a software company in Alameda.

He obtained his bachelor's degree from UCLA and J.D. from Hastings College of the Law.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 220 home sales in Indian Wells during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $535,091.
