Former CEO lists 4BD in Palm Desert for $1.875M

The 3,608-square-foot house was built in 2001. Tom Cullinan of Reserve Realty is the agent for the listing.

James A. Johnson was the CEO of Fannie Mae. He was also the campaign manager for Walter Mondale and chaired the vice presidential selection committee for the presidential campaign of John Kerry. Prior to this, he was a faculty member at Princeton University and public affairs director at the Dayton-Hudson Corporation (now Target Corporation).

He earned his political science degree from the University of Minnesota and M.P.A. from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University.

Maxine Isaacs had taught at the Kennedy School, Harvard College and George Washington University. She also served as press secretary for Ohio Congressman Louis Stokes, press team of Walter Mondale and was the press secretary and deputy campaign manager when Mondale ran for president in 1984.

She is also a trustee of the Folger Shakespeare Library, the Trust for the National Mall, Arlington's Signature Theatre, the American Associates of the [Royal] National Theatre and Skidmore College.

She earned her degree in American studies from Skidmore College, master's degree in international public policy from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and a Ph.D. in policy studies from the University of Maryland.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 1,902 home sales in Palm Desert during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $245,000.
